Of course the answer is - it depends. It depends on many factors, including what you want to do and when you want to do it. You are embarking on a unique project that has never been built before, and nobody knows precisely how much it will be before it goes to market, let alone before it has been designed. Yet most people need to understand costs and timeframes early, so they can align their expectations and their budget, and plan accordingly. You need to understand the process of design, how to get permits, and who you should engage to help you with making your dream a reality.
That is why we offer three Feasibility study options. Any of them will arm you with a solid understanding of the most likely time and cost ballparks for your particular wishlist, and give you a clear, step by step roadmap to realise your dream home. Each service can be standalone, or the first step you take in the architectural design process with us.
At Hindley & Co, our Architects in Melbourne, spend time understanding you and your site before we start designing. We listen to your needs and ideas, and examine the possibilities based on your land, existing buildings, context, planning regulations, and your life plans. We learn about your hopes and dreams for your project, and we take the time to investigate its unique parameters carefully - so that when design starts, the foundations are solid and your expectations are realistic.

A briefing session leading to detailed relationship diagrams that show options for building on the block, along with an opinions of probable costs.
This is followed up by two review meetings.
You will receive:
