Hindley & Co are award-winning Melbourne-based Architects and Interior Designers who will elevate your everyday life.

At Hindley & Co Architects we take the time to understand not only what you want, but the deeper reasons why, so we can design better, tailored, living environments that you will love.

Our Architecture & Interior Design practice aims to lift the spirit, shift perspective, and amplify sensory experience. We create spaces that connect you to life, nature, art and the greater whole.

The experience you will have working with us has been carefully considered and refined for client satisfaction, so you can relax and enjoy the process, knowing that you are in safe hands.

We aim for Hindley & Co’s architecture to sit alongside the very best of Australian design. We want to create a positive architectural legacy, to forge an enduring bond between you and your home, and to repay your emotional and financial investment emphatically.

We thoroughly research each project to ensure we specify the most appropriate products and construction materials for your unique needs. We forge a strong working relationship with our builders, sub-contractors and suppliers to make sure your project is built to high standards

We prioritise your physical and mental health, and aim to elevate your everyday lives, by connecting you with garden and the natural world, choosing healthy materials and products, and thoughtfully designing functional spaces that flow.

A home is comprised of the architecture: the “shell”, or structure and systems; and the interiors, the functionality of the spaces, the finishes and the fixtures.

Our standard architectural fee covers both architecture and the interior design component.

Interior design is a strength of the studio. Prior to starting Hindley & Co, Director Anne Hindley worked as Architect and Interior Designer through a number of high-end residential projects. She learnt the importance of designing at a 1:20 scale to make sure details like cutlery storage or integrated fridges are thoughtfully resolved and beautifully expressed. Hindley & Co ensures drawings of typical and favourite pieces of furniture are integrated into the design at an early stage, to ensure the right size of accommodation.
